I cannot find reference to this problem anywhere. I just built 1.4beta3 without difficulty. I built my collection as I had with previous versions. All plays/runs fine except that the music tab of the context sidebar tells me to build a collection and never shows me the usual fun info about the track I am playing. Lyrics and Artist tabs work as expected. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are using MySQL: did you put the password of the database in plaintext in amarok\'s configuration file? its in ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc This could be the reason... Go to the IRC (#amarok, #amarok.es and #amarok.de at irc.freenode.net) if problem persists.
If not: i dont know...

Thanks, no help. I did all that and have the mysql working well with my music files on an nfs share. The collection appears to be intact in my collection tab. Thanks - I\'ll check out the irc.
