Amarok 1.4b3 podcast - loses podcast directory

Hi,

I right click on Podcasts and change the default podcast directory to /home/jason/Music/podcasts. As I add individual podcasts, I set each one into its own directory (e.g. /home/jason/Music/podcasts/perlcast).

If I restart Amarok, the directories of the individual podcasts stay the same (verification: right click on individual podcasts - directory shown).

If I don\'t touch Amarok for some time, one or more of the podcast directories will be reset to the default podcast directory (/home/jason/Music/podcasts) or to the Amarok default (/home/jason/.kde/apps/amarok/....).

Amarok 1.4 beta 3 on kubuntu dapper.

Is there a fix for this or is this a new bug? I searched but didn\'t find anything similar.

thanks

Jason

using gstreamer 0.10 or xine-engine. Engine doesn\'t seem to matter

I get the same thing. Does yours loose it\'s settings (download when available, etc) too?

yes. The amount of time the settings are held is inconsistant. My *guess* is that amarok periodically rereads the podcast settings from disk but reads them wrong or writes them wrong. I haven\'t had time to investigate in the code as I have many other priorities (starting a new job for instance)

Yeah same here. I had these exact same problems on early versions of 1.3 but in the last couple of releases it was perfect. Another thing that podcast doesn\'t do anymore is write something to the tag on the file (IE you could say artist is the name of of the podcast and title could be the title> in the rss feed. <br>As it stands now I get nothing written to the tags of the file where as in 1.3.x it at least wrote the name of the mp3 downloaded as the title tag.

I just noticed that it loses the update after you manually select "Refresh Podcast".  I have to manually do this since even though I have the check box to auto check for new updates it does not work.  After refreshing the podcast I can go in and change the directory and other options (download when available) and right after I clik ok it starts to download using the new settings.  The next day I have to repeat the whole process.
