musicbrainz / libtunepimp

Wed May 10, 2006 7:42 pm
Hi yall,
for quite a while now the option "Fill in tag using MusicBrainz" is broken in the various versions of Amarok I tried (currently this is Amarok 1.4 svn, build date April 30, 2006). I am using Amarok on Suse 10.1RC3, but had the same problem with Suse 10.0.

I figured out that that for looking up the tag info Amarok needs libtunepimp and libmusicbrainz, so I compiled libtunepimp 0.4.2 and libmusicbrainz 2.1.2. but still no luck.

Can someone please explain in plain english (or german ) what I have to do to make this work?

Thanks!

Andreas

Do you have MusicBrainz Picard installed?  Perhaps having that setup properly will resolve your problem.  Follow the instructions here: (http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/PicardLinuxInstall).

Cheers!

You recompiled amaroK after compiling libtunepimp and libmusicbrainz? Maybe you should try libtunepimp 0.3?
