first, i am pretty new to linux, but i am beginning to love it, i think i will erase my windows partition within the next days!

I have the following problem with amorak, the artist-view shows many of my songs in the "various artitst" folder - but I filled the artist! And, amarok displays the artist within the track as well, so the tag should be stored correctly!

Any ideas?

amarok does this if the song of this artist is only part of a compilation. This avoids having artists with just one song on a compilation flooding the collection view (you will see this if you add sorting by album to the collection browser tab).
If you have more than one song from different albums from one artist, he/she should get its own section in the collection (at least I think this is how amaroK works).

I am sorry, that seems to be not correct. I have got about 30 Robbie Williams Songs in the varios artist folder, some of them are on compilations, but there is also one full album!

I really dont care about robbie, but how to tell this my girlfriend

Any further ideas?
