Help with Ipod support

Sun May 14, 2006 3:16 pm
I am having a very hard time getting amarok to work with my ipod. I am running gentoo with amarok 1.4_beta3 and libgpod 0.3.2. Everything compiles fine. Amarok sees my ipod at /mnt/ipod, but it only has a VFAT driver for it. I seem to have a file in /use/lib/kde called libamarok_ipod-mediadevice.so and libamarok_ipod-mediadevice.la which I firgured were the plugin libraries, but when running amarok, I don't have an ipod plugin.

would love some advice

thanks

If you don't want to log out and log in again, then you have to run 'kbuildsycoca' in order to make amarok pick up new plugins. Does that fix your problem?
