[2006-05-15 11:43] Failed to submit 'Jailbait' to last.fm
[2006-05-15 11:43] 235 tracks still in queue 236 tracks still in queue |

Is it possible that amarok cannot parse the file submit.xml? I tampered with it, trying to clear it so that the submissions start again, with no lack. So I deleted and rewrote it. The xml syntax of that file is correct. Does creation dates etc matter?

Have you checked to see if last.fm is currently rejecting submissions?
Have you double-checked your username and password are correct on the last.fm page of the amaroK settings?

Last.fm's submission server is up as it is announced here http://www.last.fm/forum/21713/_/51596. Username and pass are corrent.
Thanks for your reply. I am really banging my head with this one, I have a 3-digit number of pending submissions which just sit there... |

personally, I'd give up on that particular submit list, and start afresh. You'll soon find that 300 or so tracks are a mere drop in your profile

Arghhhh.....I took your advice. That was what I did the last time. The submission again doesnt work. I double checked the user and password.
Damn. Any ideas on how to debug this? The statusbar.log files are far too quiet about the problem. |

amarok: [Scrobbler] Handshake url: http://post.audioscrobbler.com/?hs=true ... .1&u=indio
That's the only relevant thing I can see when I run amarok from the console. It happens when the track ends with no submission |
|
Hello again... Can anybody help me with this? I reinstalled amarok on my ubuntu dapper and nothing. I get no information on what is wrong with the submissions through amarok itself.
Anybody can help me debug this? Submission is not working, I guess its something to do with the ubuntu package... |

Can you submit using another computer? Punch your login/password in your buddy's player and see if you can't submit a song that way. Other than that, check that your Last.fm and computer settings are set the the correct timezones, etc. Might have something to do with that. |
|
I used another linux player, Listen, to succesfully submit tracks to last.fm. I removed once amarok package with apt, then manually removed all occurences of amarok in the filesystem, just in the hope of getting to previous working amarok install.
Nothing again, rescanned the collection and the only thing I get in statusbar.log.0 is failed to submit ... |
|
Hello,
I've got the same problem. Submission works with other clients, though. Username and password are correct. Thanks in advance for any help. greets balduin |
|
Same here.
I also run amarok on ubuntu dapper. |
|
Aah, at least I am not the only one. I have been spamming this forum by myself for far too long. I have another friend on dapper that can submit though. For me, I cannot submit either using dappers package or the beta3 package provided by this site.
Can the devs give some feedback on how to trace this? Is there any switch or something to enable more logging or whatever? |
|
sorry for bumping this thread but I would love to see this feature working again.
are there no ways to track down the problem? the only output I'm getting is the failure log in statusbar.log. thanks in advance |

I was just listening to a son and decided to change it, just at the moment it was connecting to last.fm so send the info. Since I "cut" this connection, no more connections have been made. I have many songs to send, but don`t know how to fix it. Have anyone already fixed it??
