Hello everybody.
I have the problem that my volume is set to 0 with the beginning of every new track. I already know that this is a problem with the helix engine. I would like to use the xine engine again, but unfortunately at the moment I don't know how. I am using Suse 10.0 and installed amarok from rpm. Because I had a problem with some codecs, I had to remove xine-lib and also the xine-plugin for amarok. I built xine-lib from source which solved my codec-problems, but now the only audio-engine, which I can choose in amarok, is helix. When I try to install the rpm for the amarok xine-plugin again, yast still wants to install xine-lib from rpm again. Does anybody know, what to do? Can I configure amarok so it finds the compiled xine-lib? Do I need to compile the amarok-plugin for xine? Where can I get it? I hope, I provided all information which could be important for a solution. Thanks a lot in advance. Bye, Patrick |

Hmm, there's no way in just building the xine-plugin (as far as I know). But I guess you can force to install the amarok-xine-plugin rpm evenif not all dependencies are fullfilled (download the rpm, read man rpm to find out how to force it).
Another possibility is to also build amarok by hand... |

Thanks a lot! Wishes, Patrick |
