Using:
Mandriva 2006 Kernel 2.6.14.0-7mm KDE 3.5.2 (Mde repo) QT 3.3.6 I've tried to get the big report but the code given doesn't work. Anyway, I've tried launching AmaroK from command line. Uninstalling and reinstalling and it's not working. Been installing with Mandriva RPMs. When I launch it, I get this progress bar (the standard copying files box) and it never goes away but the AmaroK splash screen disappears. Any suggestions? |

There might be some amarokapp zombie processes still running.
then rerun amarok.

This is a binary incompatibility. Means: Your amaroK package was built for a different KDE/Qt version.
Get a package that actually fits for your distro, or build from source.

When I go to compile from source, I get:
checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths! |

Ok, I found my error. Sorry about all the posts - I had thought I installed the kdevelop and kdesdk files but did not. After installing the taglib and develop files, it compiled properly. Now building collection and it played the intro sound file ok. Thanks again.
