I'm new to linux and amarok, so please forgive me! I have amarok installed and working. I've updated the replaygain script and then I go into the script manager and set it to 'running'. I've right-clicked in one of my playlists and chose 'apply replaygain - in album mode for the playlist', but it doesn't appear to do nothing. How can I tell if it's doing anything?

Hi,
ensure that replaygain (the program, not the script) is installed on your system and in your $PATH. Greetings m0nk

I tried typing replaygain at a terminal prompt and it doesn't appear to be installed or in my $PATH. I couldn't find it using apt-get to install it. Where would I find this package? |

If you can't find replaygain try looking for aacgain and/or vorbisgain. They do the same thing and support AAC, MP3 and MP4, and OGG respectively. After you've installed those (if you can find them) or replaygain you'll have to first use them on your music. This adds a tag to the file that tells the replaygain script how much to adjust the volume. You'll have to do this externally before you can use the replaygain script in Amarok.

Hi again,
you can find the URLs for these apps here: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=26073. And @Jasto: You can use the script to configure and run *gain . Greetings m0nk
