This is what I did and I have been able to replicate it everytime i try: 1) make sure the Genre tag is not showing on the playlist when you build your collection 2) clear your playlist 3) enable the Genre tag to be seen on the playlist 4) add your entire collection to the playlist I have ATF enabled but someone in the IRC said it worked for them even without it. This might only be for the SVN since both me and the other person are using the SVN. If anyone can test this with an actual version please do so. Just though the developers should be aware of this. It has been like this from late last nights build to the build I just did a minute ago and probably affects more than just those. UPDATE: after amarok crashes and I reopen it the Genre tag is not enabled but when I try to add entire collection it still does the same thing, It seems to work right if I go to the collection tab and select all then drag and drop it in the playlist.

I don't think this has anything to do with the genre tag. Smart playlists just seem to be screwed up in the latest SVN. The included ones create the sort of jibberish your screenshot shows, as well as running on forever on my system. My custom made ones just load as blank playlists because Amarok can't seem to find genres or artists clearly marked in my collection.

This problem appears to have been fixed (for me at least) with an update of the playlistloader in the very latest SVN.
