Sometimes after using amarok, the sound is not working anymore and my mouse(USB) moves extremly slow. There is no exessive HD usage, neither processor load. Sometimes with kaffeine happens the same. Both players are using xine which is configured to use alsa and XV.

Most of the time everything works. I was not able to figure out when exactly it happens. When the mouse is stuck, not even killing X helps.

Using mplayer for mp3s and for avis works fine. Mplayer uses alsa and XV.

I do not have any clue what and where to search for. Could you please help me?

ps: I am using ubuntu with a TNT2, a SB Live and the standard ubuntu kernel v. 2.6.15-26-k7.
