Problem with the xine-engine

Hi until yesterday i was listening mi music with amarok without problems, i didn't install nothing yesterday and this morning amarok told me xine cannot read mp3, i uninstall everything, the config files too and i reinstall everything and nothing, i'm using debian with alsa, i just read the new bugs but i don'f find nothing about that. Can you help me please ¿?

Try updating the rest of your system.  Worked for me.

Nevermind, it didn't work for me.  I'm getting the same problem when I restart Amarok.  I can't even load MP3s into the playlist area.  I wonder if the wiki has anything we can work with...

I forget to told i try to update the system, and yesterday y pass the day trying to remove some packages and to reinstall it after but nothing,

¿What is the problem?

I have the same problem. I'm running Kubuntu edgy eft. Amarok ver 1.4.1. Mp3 files aren't played, all other music files work flawlessly.
