Hi,

I wonder if it's possible to browse the entire collection i Flat-View mode. Right now I have to choose anything, besides "Entire Collection" to display my files. If I choose entire collection, nothing is displayed, and the box with "Enter search term to enable..." just stays on screen. It doesn't help to enter a search term, no matter what.

However, choosing "Added within one year" seems to work properly.

This is Amarok 1.4.0a on Debian (testing). I'm using SQLite as the backend.

EDIT: Oh well, this topic probably belongs in the Help section. Sorry about that, maybe it should be moved?

AFIK the Flat-View Mode with "Entire Collection" selected has never listed any thing unless a search term is entered.  It would be good if the devs changed this functionality.  I don't use flat view alot but its definately faster for me to create playlists then the tree view which should list all artists under artist view but instead I have to search for them under Various Artists / Album (cause I can't spell well enough or remember half the names to use the search bar).

That's correct. It's done for performance reasons. We can't put the entire collection in the listview, it would eat too much memory and become slow. Remember, some people have giant collections.
