I'm pretty new to amarok and I really love it. I use it with my Sandisk Sansa m200 with no problems. It's a huge deal to me to be able to manage my mp3 player exclusively through a GUI in one program...(I'm used to having to switch between the terminal and konqueror.)
However, I'm trying to get my sister's iPod Shuffle to work on here and it's a huge pain. Amarok recognizes it as a generic music device and I can add/remove mp3s from it just fine. But after I unmount and disconnect it, the iPod shows no music in it (orange and green light flashing) and I assume it's because amarok doesn't rebuild its library. (I'm used to my sansa rebuilding its library independently after an update.) Is there a plugin or something I need for amarok to work with my sister's iPod Shuffle? Thanks. |

You're exactly right: there is the Apple iPod plugin - this should make transferring music to your sisters ipod work. Ask your distributor, if he didn't include this plugin with Amarok. Or install gtkpod's libgpod before compiling Amaork.

Thanks so much!
So, what do I do, just install the plugin and redo the whole ./configure, make, make install thing again with amarok? |
