Hi there.

I tried jordswart (deprecated?) svn-ebuild (http://www.jordswart.org/archives/35) to build amarok on my gentoo box because the rating/scores bug annoyed me in 1.4.2-beta1 but I want ATF ;)

Unfortunately, i'm not able to build my collection anymore. It says there are too many errors (different files every time) and i should check taglib. i re-emerged taglib (1.4-r1) but it's still not working.

I already checked the forum and faq and i'm hanging around in #amarok.

thnx in advance (:

// edit1:

i emerged amarok now with the new ebuild (amarok-svn-1.4-r10, added in the wiki) but still get the error. what buggs me is that it worked with 1.4.1 and 1.4.2-beta1 :x
some additional info: i use mysql on a local server (5.0.24), the mp3 tags have nothing in common afaics.
my gentoo system is always up2date.

what should i do :x

// edit2: workaround
omg that was a hell of merging and messing around :)
this is my (i guess quite newbie-like) workaround and, please, don't ask why it works like this but it does ;)

mv ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok ~/temp
strace amarokapp
choose sqlite and build the collection (took a while)
quit amarok
cp ~/temp/scripts themes albumcovers back to new amarok folder
start amarokapp
change db to mysql (collection rebuilds just fine)
enjoy :)
