KIO works fine in Konqueror and i can play music fine with Amarok... Isn't there KIO support? 1) if there is support: how can i solve this problem? 2) if there is NO support: [homer]NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH[/homer] Is there any way (in linux) to play music in archive (zip, rar, etc) files? [blasphemy]even if it involves using other players[/blasphemy] I am trying to quit windows, but not being able to play music in archives is a serious blow to me. None of the two supported engines (helix & xine) has kio support (albeit that would be really nice).
However, as a work around, you could drag the files from Amarok's filebrowser or from konqueror to your collection pane in order to copy them to your collection before playing them. |
