After compiling the latest SVN revision, Amarok stops loading after printing these messages:
After that, it pops up an error message saying:
I'm using NetBSD 3.0 with KDE 3.5.1 and I'm compiling with gcc. It's the first time that I compile Amarok, precompiled versions worked fine with the same configuration. |

ok, before you compile amarok, you need to run
At the end of this, it will tell you what is and is not going to be compiled. It sounds like you're missing the devel libs for xine. An alternative would be to install helixplayer or RealPlayer and tell amarok to

Strange, XINE is enabled (./configure --prefix=/usr/pkg --enable-debug=full):
But I still get the same message! |

if you re-read the message, you'll see amarok likes being installed in your kde-prefix.
rerun configure with the requested prefix line as mentioned in your error message, and try again. Don't forget to 'make install' (as root) after 'make'. You could also try running 'kbuildsycoca' as user.

Yes, I already know it. In facts, my KDE prefix is '/usr/pkg' (kde-config --prefix).

Usually this error implies a broken ksycoca database. Happens e.g. when you have multiple KDE versions installed, or wrong permissions.
Run "kbuildsycoca" from the shell and paste the output.
