That's essentially where I am at Mopoke, as soon as I can get the example programs to work with my player, then I'll come back to amaroK and see where I stand.

I got my Zen Touch working as root... Can somebody help me to get it running as user???
The message I get from mtp-detect is something like "usb_claim_interface operation permited"...

Any help apreciated...

It depends on your distro and how you installed libmtp. It's all to do with udev and hotplugging. Take a look at the MTP wiki page: http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Media_Device:MTP

It works!!! WOHOO!!!!  it was the libmtp.rules file! It was not there! In SuSE 10.1 it doesn't get installed properly!
I am so happy!!! My Zen works... Now it seems to need a new harddrive, it fails from time to time, but I can send all my Tracks from Amarok to the Player!!!

KEEP AMAROKING!!!
