When I select /home/user/Music as my collection dir, the scan runs just fine. However if I go back into the directory tree to check which directory I have selected, my /home/user/Music folder is no longer ticked. Anyone else find this?

I am having this problem. I had it with 1.4.2 and I still have it with 1.4.3. Clearly, the collection is still selected somehow because when I add files to my collections directory, it does automatically add them to my collection. However, when I go into the config menu, it shows no directories are selected. Furthermore, if I select a directory, the Apply button won't become active. Hence, I can't change my collection's directory, I can only define it once, and I can never alter it...
This seems like a pretty important bug, could someone check this out? Thanks! |

OK, I think I have figured this bug out. All folder configuation functions work normally, but Amarok acts as though they are not. Here are the two things Amarok does:
1) I can change the location of my collection just fine. But when I do so in the Settings - Configure Amarok - Collection Menu, the "Apply" button doesn't become active. Still, clicking OK will save these changes. The Configure Folders Icon does not have an "Apply" button, so this is not an issue. 2) Regardless of what folders I have defined for my collection, when I view my settings either in Settings - Configure Amarok - Collection Menu or with the Configure Folders Icon Menu the folders that are currently selected are not shown. As I stated in problem 1, I can change my settings just fine, but they will not show up in my settings menu even though refreshing my collection shows that they have indeed been updated correctly. I have submitted a bug report to KDE. |
