Hi there,
slowly I'm fed up with distro-personalized packages ![]() I'm using Kubuntu dapper. When I wanted to switch from the unpractical "kubuntu" theme to the default theme and restarted, the "kubuntu" theme was loaded again. On "delete" I was told that it deleting .kde/share/apps/amarok/themes/kubuntu failed, which is logical, as that subfolder doesn't exist. Instead, I found the theme at /usr/share/kubuntu-default-settings/kde-profile/default/share/apps/amarok/themes/kubuntu . Renaming it solved the issue. To do it more elegantly, I re-wrote the file amarokrc (the lineContextBrowser StyleSheet=Default under [General Options] was unchanged at all times!!) , started and stopped amarok, and then renamed the kubuntu-theme-folder back. Now switching themes works flawlessly. I dont know what caused that strange behaviour, maybe Kubuntu monitors if the dumb user changes its themes ![]() but i wanted to bring this to attention in case that someone has similar problems... Regards, and thanks for the best audio player ever made! XW |
