Hi,
I think about installing amarok, but does the new version work well with my ipod? Has anyone experiences with that? And I read somewhere that gstreamer is not supported in the current version, is that true? Thanks for answering heribert |

It would probably help if you told people what kind of ipod you use. On my Ipod Photo it destroys the database every time since 1.4 betas came so I had to move to rhythmbox. It is written about here http://amarok.kde.org/forum/index.php/topic,9127.0.html but no one bothered to respond.

The forum is not followed too closely by developers. Thus, bugs.kde.org is a far better place to post actual bug reports about amarok.
So, could you please file a bug reports against amarok at http://bugs.kde.org and state all the information that might be relevant to the description of your problem? Especially how you set your ipod up in itunes: there are some 'manage ipod automatically' or so options, those seem to be most interesting in your case. |

I have a third generation Ipod (not fancy photostuff or anything) and the support is superb. I can transfer files, playlists, directories without problems and the playcount on my ipod is read and submitted to last.fm afterwards.
Not much more I could ask.
