ipod experience ?

Sun Sep 03, 2006 9:53 am
Hi,

I think about installing amarok, but does the new version work well with my ipod?
Has anyone experiences with that?

And I read somewhere that gstreamer is not supported in the current version, is that true?

Thanks for answering

It would probably help if you told people what kind of ipod you use. On my Ipod Photo it destroys the database every time since 1.4 betas came so I had to move to rhythmbox. It is written about here http://amarok.kde.org/forum/index.php/topic,9127.0.html but no one bothered to respond.

The forum is not followed too closely by developers. Thus, bugs.kde.org is a far better place to post actual bug reports about amarok.

So, could you please file a bug reports against amarok at http://bugs.kde.org and state all the information that might be relevant to the description of your problem? Especially how you set your ipod up in itunes: there are some 'manage ipod automatically' or so options, those seem to be most interesting in your case.

I have a third generation Ipod (not fancy photostuff or anything) and the support is superb. I can transfer files, playlists, directories without problems and the playcount on my ipod is read and submitted to last.fm afterwards.

Not much more I could ask.
