Hi,
I have some n00b questions: 1. When I pasuse a podcast for a few minutes, an fire it up again, the podcast plays for a few seconds and then dies. This doesn't seem to happen if I only pause it for a few seconds. Is this a sever issue? 2. Also, besause of this it would be really great if I could somehow "bookmark" the place where I paused the podcast, so that I can get back to it, even if the podcast dies. Is there a way - maybe a script? 3. Is there a way to forward/rewind in podcasts? If it's any help I run Ubuntu Dapper (Gnome) and the latest Amarok SVN. thanks for a great app! cheers

Probably the first thing only happens if you're streaming the podcast rather than downloading it. Most streams don't pause very well, so you might have better luck downloading then listening.
As for the bookmarking, I noticed a script recently appeared on kde-apps.org that says it does this. You might want to have a look there. Amarok scripts can be installed via the scripts dialogue on the tools menu.

thanks a lot for your answer.
You're right of course - when I download the feed, I have no problems at all. The script is Quickmark, and it's working great (not while streaming, though). Tanks again ![]() |
