Random Mode Problems

Sun Sep 03, 2006 12:53 pm
Everything runs wonderfully in Amarok. I love it. The only problem is that I can't seem to get Random Album to work. It's apparently finding the album [because you can see different numbers of "tracks" loading] but the actual tracks don't load. All you can see is the word "from" in the track title field. When you try to play one of the "tracks" you get the error that it cannot load the track because of the bad URL. There is a dot in front of the path, which I suspect is causing the problems.

I'm running Ubuntu 6.06, Gnome and using Amarok 1.4.2. I hope that information helps. I;m trying to attach some screenshots but the forum software is being obstinate.

You should report this as a bug on http://bugs.kde.org - the devs don't all keep a close eye on these forums.
It might be related to dynamic collections, and it may have already been fixed in svn, but that's the best way to find out.

someone else reported similar problems using DAAP - have you been using this at all?
