If your amarok is built with musicbrainz support, you can have amarok try to guess the file's tag in the "Edit Track Information" view. Of course you'd have to do it for every file. Tools like musicbrainz' own "picard" tagger or easytag can speed up the process of tagging lots of files dramatically. At least easytag should be in your distribution's repository.

When I select a track and then edit track info, I then click on the "Tags" tab and then clcik on "Fill in tags using Musicbrainz" and it just sits there thinking about it (I have left for a couple of hours) with no results.
Any other suggestion Amarok version 1.4.1 (from the Debian testing respoitory) Debian Testing with 2.6.15 kernel KDE 3..5.4 (again from Debian) Tim |
