mysql in 1.4.2 mandriva rpm?

Tue Sep 05, 2006 12:03 pm
Hi,
Is there a way to check if MySQL-Support is enabled in this package? (from download-section)
I have followed the HowTo and setup a MySQL daemon + database and I think it's running properly (hopefully - no idea how to check if it running ) )
But I see no option to select the new database in collectionpreferences

It sounds like this package has not been compiled with mysql support - an option would show up on the collections page in amarok settings if it was.

Perhaps there's a different package available with an alternative configuration?

ok, I thought maybe the MySQL-option will only appear if the daemon is configured well.
I'm quite happy with this package because no crashes yet and so I wait until the author of the mandriva package compiles 1.4.3 and hopefully including SQL support. regards
