I have recently upgraded to Amarok 1.4.3 with xine engine and now my mp3pro files all sound like old vinyl records!

The mp3pro files are 96kbit vbr.  The previous version of Amarok I was using came with my Mandriva 2006 (free) system, using the Arts engine and did not have this problem.  I am using kernel 2.6.12-25mdk.

After installing 1.4.3, I had to remove all my xine files and reinstall just the plf versions in order to get Amarok to play Flac files, could this be related?
