What filetypes are added to the collection?

Hi,

I was wondering, what kind of files amarok adds to its collection when it (re)scans it.
My collection currently only contains mp3 and ogg files, but no mka or ac3 although they are in the collection directory.
For ac3 I assume it's because they don't support tags, right? But what about mka?
Wouldn't it be possible to add another file for ac3 that contains flags for it?

Also, amarok could be a bit more verbose about why it doesn't add files to its collection, like a pop-up that says "some audio-files weren't added to the collection. Click here to learn more"

Beside that: great app. :)

AFAIK amarok can only add files to the collection which's tags it can read. And this is a taglib issue. If you want to add other file types you have to add support to taglib.  And of course, to be able to play it, your audio-engine must support it, too.

That's no longer correct for Amarok 1.4, because we also use some custom TagLib plugins. This way Amarok can also handle WMA and AAC tags.

This might be a good list for the Wiki (if it is not already there and I just overlooked it), all supported filetypes.

Thanks for your answers!
So the complete list is mp3 (id3v1 and id3v2), ogg, flac, mpc native in taglib and aac + wma through plugins?
