Same here. I have a new ipod nano and when I run amarok with it plugged, amarok crashes.
If helps someone, gtkpod also crashes, but I can access the ipod with konqueror ipod ioslave.

My guess is that this is a libgpod problem. Could you please try with the just released 0.4.0?

I have compiled libgpod 0.4 and now amarok doesnt crash but i can not copy all the files I want to the ipod because it "unmounts" before finish the copy. I guess it is a libgpod problem, but should I recompile also amarok with the new library version?
