Hey,
First off, I wanted to say, Amarok is really impressive. I've been using *nix for less then a year and I've switched from liking minimalistic winamp to big and bulky Amarok Great job. I recently got myself an IPOD mainly because I wanted to listen to audio books on my commute to work. So I have a couple of questions: 1. I was wondering, how exactly do I transfer my audio books / podcasts so they show up in the correct menu. And aren't mixed up with my music? 2. Is there any mass tagger/plugin availible for amarok? (ie. Make first letter of song uppercase, rest lowercase) Thans in advance |

First of all, make sure that you have Amarok f1.4.3 and the Apple iPod media device plugin.
For podcasts, just download & transfer them using Amarok. Then they should show up in the Podcast category on your ipod. As to audiobooks, you have 2 possibilities: - reencode your audiobooks to m4a (e.g. using faac) and change the extension of the resulting file to m4b, then transfer them e.g. by dragging from the built-in filebrowser or from konqueror to the media browser tab in Amarok - buy .aa files from audible.com |

Does Amarok play m4b-files?

Uh... I found the solution for m4b-Audiobooks to be played in Amarok. Use xine... My Amarok used the Helix engine and therefore couldn't play m4b-Audiobooks. With the Xine-Engine everythings works fine!
