I have a rather strange problem, which I am not sure is Amarok's fault, but I am also not sure where else to ask, since it has persisted through several version changes. However, it is still here in the Amarok 1.4.3 package for kubuntu (using the amarok-xine engine).

My mp3 playback pauses about once an hour, entirely at random for several seconds, and then resumes playing, as though nothing had happened.  It will do this several times, until eventually it pauses entirely and refuses to play until I use `killall amarokapp`
When I then restart Amarok, it behaves in much the same way.

So far as I know, my system is never under any undue load at the points where it 'pauses' like this (no other programs respond sluggishly), so I am baffled as to the source of the problem, and the solution.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
