Crash on Media Device Settings

Thu Oct 05, 2006 2:48 am
Hey, all.

When I attempt to set the type of media player for the detected drive, Amarok crashes.

It only does this if I try to set the type of media player to anything other than Do Not Handle.

If I change it to iPod, and click Apply or OK, Amarok crashes out. =[

I'm having the exact same issues with the following:
Code: Select all
Installed Packages
amarok.i386                              1.4.4-1.fc5            installed
amarok-extras-nonfree.i386               1.4.4-1.lvn5           installed
amarok-visualisation.i386                1.4.4-1.fc5            installed

Code: Select all
Installed Packages
libgpod.i386                             0.3.2-0.fc3.rf         installed

I'm connecting with a 30GB iPOD video under Fedora Core 5 (kernel:  2.6.18-1.2239.fc5) and using the xine engine.

Quick follow up to my thread...

Looks as though, this is the workaround: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133468

It may appear that this particular bug has resurfaced with the newest Amarok build as I'm still using the same libgpod version and previous versions of amarok didn't crash.
