When amarok downloads some podcasts it creates zero length mp3 files and then marks the show as downloaded. When I try to play the file I get the popup error message:
or
(In both cases the indicated file is a zero length file. Also, amarok really thinks the show is completely downloaded so waiting doesn't work) The the problem feeds are for "Le Show" and "This American Life" and are available here: http://media.kcrw.com/podcast/show/ls http://www.thisamericanlife.org/podcast.xml I'm able to play the file directly using link provided by the enclosure tag with mplayer. Other podcasts seem to work fine. I'm using xine as the playback engine. Any ideas? I've included my build information (I'm running gentoo and amarok 1.4.3) .

Using a proxy server?

I'm not running though a proxy server.
Also, some other podcasts work correctly. I was trying to figure out if there was some problem parsing the podcast xml file. Is there some way to get amarok to give more detailed error messages/ some sort of log besides say running gdb? Is there some way to verify that the podcast xml file is parsable by amarok? I tried some of these online xml file verifiers but I think they're too strict as the reported _all_ of the podcast xml files I ran through them as having hundered of errors. |
