i have got amarok installed on my ibook via fink - it seems to work great - aside from the collection. i start to scan my collection and then it stops scanning it seconds later. all my music is on an external harddrive and amarok on linux side (dual boot) does the collection fine.
my console says: amarok: BEGIN: virtual ScanController::~ScanController() amarok: END__: virtual ScanController::~ScanController() - Took 0.00028s amarok: [virtual KDE::ProgressBar::~ProgressBar()] amarok itself doesn't lock up or anything - it just doesn't build a collection has anyone else had similiar problems, or know what to do about this? |

I've noticed the same behaviour with my music on a network share. If I set a local folder as my collection folder, and use the files browser to copy the music to my collection, then the tracks can be manually added to my collection database, however the collection scanner doesn't seem to work. Not sure if this is only with 1.4.6 - I haven't tried any earlier versions on OS X.
Further, if I do manage to get files into my collection, then foolishly do a rescan, they are removed from the collection. Also, tracks don't seem to add unless they're newly written to the drive, either by renaming or creating new files.
