amarok - 1.4.3
Fedora core 6 xine engine I've been using amarok for about a month and love it, or at least I did untill I bought an ipod nano. Every song I transfer to the ipod shows up as orphaned and as stale. When I go to the ipod and try to play the songs nothing happens. Instead of the screen showing the song being played it just stays on the song selection screen. I've tried this with my ipod nano (4 gig black, 4th gen I think) and with a 3rd gen ipod. I'm pulling my hair out!! Thanks for any help! |

EXACTLY the same situation and problem ... although I only have a 3G ipod to test. It worked under FC5 but now it refuses...
If anyone needs any info to help solve this just reply and I'll do my best... |

i have a 4th gen nano and do not have this specific issue. but if i try to put on more files than is room, it have to start over. i am guessing that when you reach the limit, even though it stops it, it doesnt write the index files. the way i prevent it is by always leaving 10MB open.
