can't compile 1.4.4

Tue Oct 31, 2006 8:47 pm
Used ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` -enable-mysql
but in make I get

collectiondb.cpp: In constructor 'MySqlConnection::MySqlConnection(const MySqlConfig*)':
collectiondb.cpp:5960: error: 'mysql_set_character_set' was not declared in this scope
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:3854: Error: Local symbol `.LTHUNK0' can't be equated to undefined symbol `_ZN7INotifyD1Ev'
{standard input}:3854: Error: Local symbol `.LTHUNK1' can't be equated to undefined symbol `_ZN7INotifyD0Ev'
etc
Mandriva 2006 and with libmysql15-devel-5.0.4-0.beta.1mdk installed
gcc version 4.0.1

Downgraded to libmysql14-devel-4.1.12-4.10.20060mdk and it now builds ok (and looks good!)
