Is scoring broken? [SOLVED IN SVN?]

Fri Nov 03, 2006 6:32 am
Hello all,

Wondering out loud, is the scoring broken for 1.4.4, or am I missing a setting for this?  amaroK used to automagically score, but it does not appear to do so any longer.....
Ok...if I active the scoring column, it appears and is accurate.  But it does not appear in the sidebar as it used to.  Also, there are song suggestions with scores of zero (unplayed as of yet), but no list of presently played tracks with scores.  Again, any thoughts?

Chris

second that,

Problem occurs with 1.4.4,
in the statistics window "favourite songs"
and "most played songs" show an empty list
while the other statics are displayed correctly.

In the sidebar the  "favourite songs by" part is missing.

I tried deleting the configs and the ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok
folder, I tried rebuilding the database, the error still occured.

System is gentoo x86, CFlags are sane, UseFlags not important.

EDIT:  submitted a bug in KDEs bugzilla,
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136791
please confirm that this bug exists.

Bug has been solved, as seen on bugzilla,
in current svn. Please try out whether it
works for you or not, it works well here.

I'd say [solved]

Stinks that to solve this I will have to use SVN....I would rather think that this should be included in a stable release....
Oh well....we continue towards perfection....

The alternative is to switch to MySQL/PSQL. The bug only affects SQLite.

..or to wait for a patchlevel release. After a while we usually send a bunch of patches to the packagers.

Ahhhh, solved in SQL.... that makes sense...
My mother always told me, never do something halfway... no more SQLite for this cowboy!

Thanks for the solution....
