Tracking Play Count

Sat Nov 04, 2006 3:42 pm
Is there a way to adjust when Amarok executes PlayCount++? I've looked through the options but can't find anything.. The problem is that I'm in the habit of putting my collection on "Load random mix", and when a song starts playing that I don't want to listen to I just hit "Next" on my keyboard. All well and good, except that if a song starts playing for 5 seconds, long enough for me to realize what it is and that I don't want to listen to it, and I hit the next button, that song still gets its play-count incremented. This effectively makes my play-count statistics random, since every single song that the random mix loads will be incremented, not just the ones that I actually listen to. Maybe make it increment the play-count at the same time that it submits to Last.fm?
