After trying various Linux distributions (often very briefly) over the years I have found with Ubuntu 6.10 a distribution which mostly works for the things I want to do and I am not losing all my nights ploughing through forums. I stumbled across Amarok, installed it and am so far VERY impressed and I am confident it will become my default music collection management tool, once someone out there can help me fix one last problem...
I have a Creative MuVo MP3 player which I have set up as a generic device mapped to /media/usbdisk. Amarok is able to connect to the device, play music off the device, and delete music off the device but whenever I try to transfer files to the device it fails with the message: Failed to copy track to media device: [the file name] I have tried a variety of settings in the device configuration but I always get that error. I have no clue WHY it is failing so I am hoping someone out there can help me? Thanks. Stew. |
