Like a few users before me, I am having a problem with a corrupted song jamming up my collection scan. The problem is that I cannot seem to find the collection_scan.log file to check and see what is causing this. I am running Ubuntu 6.10 with gnome.

the log file is in ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/

Check if you have any .rm files in your collection dirs and move them outside the collection - quite a few prople have had those cause problems, even though they don't get listed as the source of an error.
