I'm on Gentoo Linux 2006.1, AMD Athlon X2 3800, 1GB Ram
I updated KDE to version 3.5.5 and I wanted to update Amarok (1.4.3-r1 -> 1.4.4) too, but now Amarok doesn't start up. When I start amarok I can see the "amarok window", the playlist fills and the progress bar on the bottom stays at 100%. I have waited for 2 hours and nothing happend. Could you help me? Thanks, Calvin

Try to rebuild with debug flag and start from shell; see what it says.

I rebuild the amarok 1.4.3-r1 package from gentoo with the debug flag and started it with amarokapp.
Thats the output: (amarok.debug) |

Only problem I see is this:
amarok: [CollectionDB] [ERROR!] [virtual QStringList SqliteConnection::query(const QString&)] sqlite_step error. amarok: [CollectionDB] [ERROR!] database disk image is malformed Looks like your sqlite database became corrupt. Try to remove it: rm ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/collection.db
