Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere (I couldn't find anything relevant via the Search facility).
I've been having a problem with Amarok for a while whereby if a new folder is added to my 'music' folder (the whole of which is part of my Collection) it isn't recognised and I have to re-scan the entire thing for it to be picked up. This appears to have been fixed in the latest release (1.4.4-103). However, now if I check my Collection I can see that the new folder has been included in the list but the contents are not being scanned. I've tried amending the folder name and 'Scanning for Changes' but it's still not picked up. Any ideas? |

Is your collection on an NTFS file system?

Nope, ext3 via NFS.

dunno then - could be permissions on the tracks within the dir, or the tracks might not be a format your installation of amarok recognises... does the ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/collection_scan.log file give an indication of whether it found the tracks?
