I am really new to Linux as well as Amarok. I am using SUSE 10.1 (open) and would like to install Amarok. I already have one on here which is version 3.1 but I saw a newone on the site and want to upgrade to that.
Is there an installation guide to help me install it. I saw the Installation guide on the home area. But it talks about building the program from source. Is this the only way it can be done? Becuase when i go to download from my distributor on the amarok site i see an rpm file that I can download but when i run it I get these errors: There are no installable providers of libgpod.so.0 for amarok-1.4.4-32.1.i586[Local packages] ruby-1.8.4-17.8.i586[20061121-205804] needed by amarok-1.4.4-32.1.i586[Local packages] amarok-xine-1.3.8-34.i586[System packages] dependend on amarok Any help in this would be most appreciated. Thanks. |
