I am running amarok-svn, updated yesterday.  I notice when I plug my ipod in, I get hopeful sounding debug messages
like the following

Code: Select all
amarok: [MediaBrowser] played /scratch/audio/W/Lucinda Williams/Lucinda Williams/13 - Nothing in Rambling (Live).mp3
amarok: [MediaBrowser] scrobbling Lucinda Williams - Side of the Road (Live)
amarok: [MediaBrowser] played /scratch/audio/W/Lucinda Williams/Lucinda Williams/15 - Side of the Road (Live).mp3

but then at the end it says
Code: Select all
amarok: [Scrobbler] Performing submit in 415509 seconds

and it seems nothing is submitted (well, I didn't wait 5 days yet)

I checked the last.fm status page, and submission shows OK.

The weird thing is that I don't have this issue at work, where I am running the debian testing package (I think it is 1.4.5beta)
At home, I am also running debian, but testing/unstable, with more unofficial repositories.
The time on my machine at home seems to be OK.

Oh, and I'm using xine as the playback engine

The following does seem a bit odd
Code: Select all
[ 38 quixote ~ ]  grep last ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/submit.xml
<submit lastSubmissionFinishTime="1165323077" product="Amarok" version="1.4-SVN" >
[ 39 quixote ~ ]  perl -e 'print $foo=localtime(1165323077),"\n"'
Tue Dec  5 08:51:17 2006

Am I right in thinking that this date is in the future? Can I fix this without losing my current queue (only about 60 songs, but still...)

OK, here is what I did:

1) Quit Amarok
2)  lastSubmissionFinishTime to be some time in the past (using perl to check my guess about how many seconds
to subtract)
3) fired up amarok again

and the queue was flushed OK.

I don't really know how it got confused in the first place.
