Help: How to full delete album covers

Thu Dec 07, 2006 10:50 pm
Hi everyone.

I'm having this problem with the album covers: Some of my covers didn't download correctly and I have like 20 corrupted covers. I try to re-download them, but its no use, they still are corrupted.

I uninstalled amarok, deleted the folder /home/vcdorantes/.kde/share/apps/amarok, and re-installed the whole thing. Then amarok showed me the "first run" wizard, and I did select the folder in which my music is stored... Just to be surprised when I saw the same ol' corrupted covers. So, my question is: There is any other folder where amarok store the covers? so I can delete that (first back-it up) and force a cover reload from amazon..

Thanks in advance!

Is it possible that these covers are actually stored in the ID3 tags of the  mp3 files? As far as I know (correct me if I am wrong) Amarok will prefer these over the downloaded ones. There could also be album art in the album folder.

However, you should be able to "unset" the current cover and download a new one.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try that tonight.. I'm pretty sure I've tried the "unassign" command, but I didn't tought about the covers-on-tag stuff.

BTW Sorry for my english
