Hi

I always hear or read about section in the context tab that shows the favorite songs by the current artist. It is also shown on every screenshot I have seen. I dont have that. However i can look it up in the statistics. I am running Amarok 1.4.4

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

if you right-click on one of the headings in the context browser, you should get a context menu with different parts that can be toggled.

One of them is "favorite tracks"

Yes, I know that's how it's supposed to be, but all I have there is
-Show related artists
-Show suggested songs
-Show favorite tracks

The 'show favorite tracks' shows a section with 'Suggested Songs', showing me some top-rated songs i have in general. The field that shows my favorite songs by the current artist is missing.

Maybe there's a plugin or script i need to install first?

Strange, the behaviour is working ok here. I'm assuming you do have other tracks by the particular artist being played when you notice it not working, and that these tracks have been played?

I've just checked, and it makes no difference here whether I'm using scores, ratings, both or neither.

I'm using svn at the moment - I'll post again later when I've checked on another machine.

In the meantime, you could try turning favourites on, quitting amarok, then restarting it. I notice that the setting is not saved until exit.

I don't suppose any of you have bothered posting a bug report, or checking for an existing one, on http://bugs.kde.org ?

Also be aware there are/have been various problems relating to the kubuntu build for 1.4.4 - if this is your distro, you may have to wait a bit.

Same problem here (I'm using the kubuntu build of amarok 1.4.4 on ubuntu 6.10): No favorite tracks on the context tab, neither on the Statistics menu (see attachment).

Should I report the bug directly to ubuntu? are they already aware of this?

Thanks!

Fixed in SVN since November.
