Sandisk Sansa e260 mtp not working

Fri Dec 29, 2006 4:54 pm
I am running openSuse 10.1 with amarok 1.4.4, libusb 0.1.12-7, libmtp 0.1.0-2, libmtp-tools 0.1.0-2 and I cant get MTP working with my sansa. I setup udev permissions and can find and probe the device using mtp-detect as a user. But when going into amarok and scanning for new devices the sansa is not detected. I really would prefer to use mtp mode on my sansa. Instead of MSC which right now I am forced to use.

is your copy of amarok compiled with mtp support?
that is, if you try to manually add a device, does mtp show up in the list of choices?
