podcasts not showing in menu

Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:18 am
I have a 2G Nano (green), 4GB, Version 1.1.1, Model MA487LL, formatted Windows.  I have sucessfully transferred music via amarok v. 1.4.3 , and amarok works great for that.  I have added podcasts to amarok, and downloaded the podcast and transferred it to my nano, however the podcast will NOT show up in the menu under "podcasts".  It IS on the nano I have confirmed that manually in a shell, the podcast plays perfectly in amarok so I will assume that there is nothing wrong with the mp3 file.  I have been reading things for days trying to fix this and any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I also tried to use gtkpod and manually edit the model number but do not see how to do that, I did use it to create the directoried on the nano even though they already existed thinking maybe it would re-write something.

This is very frustrating as everything else seems to work great.  Oh and I am running ubuntu 6.06.
