I'm currently running Ubuntu Edgy Eft and have been trying to get copycover-offline.py to work. The problem is that I keep getting an error like this -
ERROR: No write access to ./media/mediaX/Music/Nightwish The FS is fat32 and is shared between Linux and my Windows install for all my media. I've managed to change the permissions a few times so that my default user has complete access but I still get the error. Can anybody help me with this? |

You are sure you actually have write access at the time you run the script?
You can alter your fstab to change this permamently (see man mount and have a look at the section for the fat options, especially the uid, gid and umask option which can be set in fstab in the options column). I am not familiar with this script, but maybe the path is wrong at all which might cause the very same error. |
