Hi
I have Amarok running on my home PC and all is well. I decided to install it on my work laptop all seems to work except it can not access anything on the network i.e. can not download album covers or play streaming media. The proxy settings seem to be correct and I can access the network with everything else. I can also play streaming media in XMMS on the same machine via a socks servers. Is there a way to point Amarok at a socks server? I tried "tsocks amarokapp" from a terminal and I see no errors listed but still no access (tsocks works with other apps such as VNC). Any help greatly appreciated. Edit/Delete Message |

perhaps check your kde proxy settings.

I'm using gnome, surely Amarok will pick up the global network proxy settings, everything else does (apart from firefox which uses it's own).

No, Amarok is using KDE's proxy settings. Except for the engine; there we have a separate config dialog.
