Wheels (the guy the bug is assigned to) will likely need a sample of a file with the problem.

If you have a file which crashes taglib and if there is a corresponding bug report in the kde bugzilla, then you should mail the file to wheeler at kde.org and name it 123456.mp3 where 123456 is the number of the bug in the tracker.

Scott must be pretty busy, I found a duplicate bug back from september that hasn't been addressed yet!  It was the same problem as mine above.

Guys, I'm a partial idiot!

Because the collection scan in my case takes ~3 or so hours, I usually start it before I goto bed.  This morning I took a quick look and saw the collection scan error message box displaying the tracks with errors (which in the past has always meant it didn't finish) and never closed the window till I got home!  Well, here is the idiot part, it actually finished for the first time since version 1.4.1 and I didn't realize it till now.  So, my previous post of "today's svn not working" is incorrect!

Mark, it looks like your changes in scancontroller have made the difference for me! Thanks.  By chance is there a log with how many files it had to skip?

Andy
